Closed Loop Recycling
How often have we heard from our competitors since our founding: "We have all your sustainability concepts too..." But is that really true? Unfortunately, in the textile industry, as in many other sectors, there is a lot of talk and little substance.
Thankfully, there is now movement in the regulations for verifying textile supply chains. The era of greenwashing PR is over; documented proof is now required. Our transparent supply chain is not only seamless and soon to be digitized, but we can also identify human rights and environmental risks throughout the entire supply chain.
Sustainability has been in our company's DNA since its inception. Now, we are taking our pioneering role a step further. We are currently working on the first pilot projects for a closed-loop system.
We have established a partnership to take back old textiles from our customers and laundries. We analyze which of our customers' and our own textiles are suitable for recycling and a closed loop – and which are not. Our focus is on reintegrating old textiles into the cycle – for a closed sustainable loop. The EU has already passed the first legal guidelines on this in other countries.
